Opening of 'Heroes School' in Myanmar

World Child Cancer's flagship hospital school has opened in Myanmar.

One of the major challenges for children who survive their cancer in Myanmar is the disruption to their education, as treatment often forces them to abandon their studies for the duration of their care. At Yangon Children’s Hospital, we are addressing this problem through the piloting of a new hospital school, 'Heroes School', which allows children to receive age-appropriate schooling and psychosocial support whilst they are receiving treatment. Lessons are available to the siblings of children with cancer who are also missing out on their education because they had to relocate to the hospital along with their family.

It is a project that has only been made possible due to the kindness and generosity of Dignitas Business Limousines – thank you Dignitas!
